Levski back in possession of Bulgarian title

PFC Levski Sofia have wrapped up their 26th Bulgarian league crown after a 1-1 home draw with PFC Minior Pernik took them beyond the reach of outgoing champions PFC CSKA Sofia, whose title defence ended with a 1-0 loss at PFC Litex Lovech.

Two points clear going into Sunday's penultimate round of matches, Levski fell behind when Kostadin Hazurov gave the visitors the lead against the run of play shortly after the interval. Emil Velev's men continued to dominate, however, and after missing a string of chances they finally drew level through Vladimir Gadjev with 16 minutes remaining. That took them three points clear of city neighbours CSKA Sofia with one match remaining, Levski's superior head-to-head record bringing them the A PFG trophy they last won in 2007 and a UEFA Champions League qualifying place.

Litex win
Certain of finishing runners-up, CSKA Sofia will enter UEFA Europa League qualifying after failing to at least keep pace with the leaders. Litex's Brazilian midfielder Madureira consigned the capital outfit to defeat when he scored seconds after the restart, collecting the ball from Radostin Kishishev and leaving goalkeeper Ivailo Petrov no chance with his shot.
