Juventus extended their unbeaten run to 42 Serie A matches with a 3-1 comeback victory at Genoa CFC on a day when SSC Napoli, S.S. Lazio and UC Sampdoria also made it three wins from three.

The defending champions were wobbling when Ciro Immobile came back to haunt his old club with the opening goal on 18 minutes, but they found their feet after the break to pick off their opponents. Emanuele Giaccherini led the charge with a tidy finish (61), before two goals in the remaining 12 minutes from Mirko Vučinić and Kwadwo Asamoah – the first a penalty – set the seal on a spirited fightback.

Napoli are second on goal difference after posting a commanding 3-1 triumph at home to Parma FC, while Lazio prevailed by the same scoreline at AC Chievo Verona, thanks in part to a pair of goals from Brazil midfielder Hernanes. City rivals AS Roma endured contrasting fortunes, though, surrendering a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 against Bologna FC.

Elsewhere, FC Internazionale Milano triumphed 2-0 at Torino FC, Diego Milito and substitute Antonio Cassano finding the net, while Maxi López scored twice as Sampdoria won 3-2 to condemn Pescara to a third consecutive defeat. Udinese Calcio had Andrea Lazzari sent off in a 2-2 draw at AC Siena and ACF Fiorentina swept aside Calcio Catania 2-0.
