Winger Rodrigo Taddei has become the latest AS Roma player to renew his contract, following the lead of goalkeeper Júlio Sérgio and right-back Marco Cassetti by signing a new deal committing him to the club until June 2014.
The 30-year-old Brazilian, whose contract was due to expire, joined from AC Siena in 2006 and immediately became a key figure at the Stadio Olimpico, first under Luciano Spalletti and now with Claudio Ranieri as coach.
He has made 154 league appearances in four seasons for the club and scored twice in 33 Serie A games last term as Roma pushed FC Internazionale Milano hard for the title. The Giallorossi ultimately came up two points short, but their second-place finish was enough to earn a place in next season's UEFA Champions League group stage.
