UEFA has launched the Convention on the Future of European Football, a consultation process bringing together the European game's major stakeholders to address key issues, especially the recovery of football from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin writes in UEFA Direct that the process is designed to build a sustainable future for football that benefits everyone – "aiming to promote democracy, transparency and constructive dialogue," he says. "It is our duty to preserve football's essential values and principles – especially that of sporting merit."
