UEFA Europa League match Maccabi Haifa FC vs Villarreal CF new venue announced

Following the recent decision of the UEFA Executive Committee, that no UEFA competition matches shall be played in Israel until further notice due to the current security situation, UEFA has today confirmed, in agreement with the clubs and the national associations involved, that the upcoming UEFA Europa League group stage match between Maccabi Haifa FC and Villarreal CF will be played at AEK Arena in Larnaca, Cyprus, on Thursday 9 November at 18:45 CET. The match will be played behind closed doors.
