🌍 Travel to Budapest
You will need a passport to enter Hungary if you are travelling directly from the UK or outside of the Schengen area. Check whether you need to apply for a Schengen visa.
If you are travelling from within the Schengen zone, you will need your passport to enter Hungary.
If you’re taking a chartered flight from London, you will arrive in Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport [BUD]. From the airport, shuttle buses will take you directly to the Fan Meeting Point.
⚠️ After the match, you must use the bus service from the Fan Meeting Point for your return charter flight. You will not be able to access your plane if you travel independently to the airport.
Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport [BUD] is Hungary’s major international airport, located 25km southeast of the city centre.
Alternative airports to consider are:
- Vienna International Airport, Austria [VIE]
- Bratislava Airport, Slovakia [BTS]
- Košice International Airport, Slovakia [KSC]
⚠️ You must pay for public transport when travelling around the city outside of matchday. Download the BudapestGo app for timetables, journey planning and purchasing tickets and consider buying a Budapest Card to get the most out of your stay.
Budapest is well-connected by rail to cities across mainland Europe including Vienna, Bratislava and Prague. Services will either call at Budapest Keleti (east side of the city centre) or Budapest-Nyugati (towards the west of the city centre).
Additionally, long-distance bus services are readily available to Népliget Bus Station or Kelenföld Bus Terminal from locations such as Vienna, Prague and Bratislava.
If travelling by car, use one of the Park + Ride facilities around the city.
If you are part of a charter group travelling to Budapest by coach, your coach can access the designated supporter coach parking area close to the Arsenal Fan Meeting Point.
Coach operators must apply for a coach parking pass via the link below. Parking is free of charge, but a valid parking pass is mandatory.
⚠️ Private cars and vans will not be permitted in the coach parking area.

Approved applicants will receive a confirmation email with instructions to download the digital parking pass.

🆓 Free matchday travel in Budapest for ticket holders from Friday 29 - Sunday 31 May
Ticket holders can take advantage of free travel on all public transport (trams, metro and buses) in Budapest city, including:
- Metro lines 1, 2, 3, 4
- Tram line 1
- Champions Express: A matchday bus service from BUD Airport to the Fan Meeting Points
- 200E & 100E regular bus service between airport and city
- Train service between Nyugati Railway station and Ferihegy Railway stop.
🔴 Use the red routes to arrive at the stadium. Use Puskás Aréna Stadion station on M2 if you are travelling from the city centre.
Please be prepared to present your match ticket to public transport staff upon request. Free travel applies during the operational hours of each service.

🚶 Distance to the stadium: 1 km (0.6 mile) / 15-minute walk
🕙 Opening hours: From 08:00
🎫 Entry: Free
💳 Payment options: Cashless. Debit or credit cards and contactless payments accepted.
🏟️ Ticket holders: From 14:30, make your way to the stadium via the suggested walking route below. The area outside the stadium will have live entertainment and food and drinks concessions open, including beer.
🌃 After the match: The Fan Meeting Point including concessions and facilities will open after the match for ticket holders to wait for their return journey home.
There are two routes from BUD Airport on matchday.
Option 1️⃣
🚍 Hop on the Champions Express bus service between theTerminal 1 at BUD Airport and the Fan Meeting Point. If arriving in Terminal 2, hop on a shuttle bus between the terminals to access the service.
Option 2️⃣
🚏 Alternatively, take the 200E bus service to Kőbánya-Kispest, then transfer to the M3 to Deák Ferenc tér, then take M1 to Hősök tere. The Fan Meeting Point is approx. 5-minute walk.
From the city centre🚶 Walk down the iconic Andrássy Avenue to Heroes’ Square. Then follow the signs through city park to the Fan Meeting Point.
Facilities
🎒 A bag deposit will be available for free at the Fan Meeting Point. If you are boarding a post-match service to BUD Airport for your return charter flight, please allow sufficient time to collect your item. However, it’s best to not bring a large bag at all!
🍟 You’ll find multiple food and drink stands where you can grab a tasty snack or a cold drink. Beer available for 1.990 Ft (5,59 EUR).
🔋 Phone charging facilities will be available. Remember you can take a small power bank into the stadium, as long as it’s no larger than your phone.
🚶 Getting to the stadium
Use the red routes as shown on the map to arrive at the stadium. Gates open at 15:00 local time for a 18:00 kick-off.
Food and drink concessions (including beer) will be available outside the stadium before the match. There will be live entertainment from local performers to keep you entertained before you go to your seats!
Walking is the best option. It’s approx. 15-minute walk. The route will be clearly signposted.
Walking is a convenient option if time allows. Alternatively, board the M2 service to Puskás Aréna Stadion from metro stations in the city centre such as Deák Ferenc tér.
🚨 Stadium rules
Puskás Aréna may operate differently for the UEFA Champions League final than you are used to.
❌ The following are prohibited inside the stadium:
- Bags larger than A4 size 🎒
- Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn tobacco products 🚭
- The complete list of forbidden items, such as professional cameras, can be found in the stadium rules below. 🚫
✅ Items to bring on matchday include:
- ⚠️ You must carry valid original ID to the stadium. You may be requested to present ID to public authorities when entering the stadium. Accepted IDs include passport and national ID card. 🪪
- A small power bank, no larger than your phone. 🔋
- Debit / credit cards or contactless payment devices. Puskás Aréna is a cashless stadium. 💳
- Flags / banners at a max. of 2m x 1.5m and flagpoles at a max. of 1m long & 1cm diameter are allowed into the stadium as long as they comply with stadium rules and are not of an offensive, political or discriminatory nature. 🏁
👋 After the match
If the match concludes during normal time, the post-match trophy ceremony and accompanying celebrations should finish by 20:30. If the match goes to extra time or penalties, expect the action on the pitch to continue until around 21:15. Football is unpredictable and things can change. Please consider these times as estimates.
You must board the shuttle bus service from the Fan Meeting Point for your return charter flight. It will not be possible to access the plane if you travel independently to the airport.
Should you have an extended wait for your flight, consider heading back to the Fan Meeting Point as facilities will reopen after the match. Then use Puskás Ferenc Stadion metro station or tram stop to begin your onward journey.

Hungary follows Schengen area rules. Your passport must:
- Have a 'date of issue' less than 10 years before the date you arrive – if you renewed your passport before 1 October 2018, it might have a date of issue that is more than 10 years ago, making it invalid for entry to the Schengen area
- Have an "expiry date" at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave the Schengen area (the expiry date does not need to be within 10 years of the date of issue)
