Steaua among final entrants

The full lineup for the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League is now known after the last four league titles were decided.

Steaua celebrations
On Saturday, 1986 European Champion Clubs' Cup winners FC Steaua Bucuresti secured their 22nd Romanian title to take the number of former winners of this competition in the next edition to 14, and the same day a 7-0 victory against Herfølge BK gave Brøndby IF the Danish championship. Both teams will enter the Champions League second qualifying round.

Artmedia debut
Then on Sunday it was FC Artmedia Bratislava's turn to celebrate, as they became Slovakian champions. Artmedia will go into the first qualifying round in mid-July for their debut in Europe's premier club competition. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, FC Shakhtar Donetsk reclaimed the crown from FC Dynamo Kyiv. Both sides already knew they would play in the Champions League, but Shakhtar will start in the third qualifying round and Dynamo one stage earlier.

Liverpool entry
Once UEFA confirms the list of competing teams with the respective national associations, the first and second qualifying round draws will be made in Nyon on 24 June. Among the clubs in the hat will be Liverpool FC, who were last week given special dispensation to join the first qualifying round as holders despite finishing fifth in England.
