Ancelotti laments 'lucky' PSV

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was left to rue "really lucky" opponents PSV Eindhoven after goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes earned them a point.

PSV Eindhoven staged a defiant rearguard action to shut out AC Milan and earn a valuable goalless draw in their UEFA Champions League Group E encounter at the San Siro. The game, a rematch of last season's epic semi-final, was more one-sided than last year's tie but despite dominating, Milan came away having to make do with a point, thanks largely to the heroics of visiting goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.

Carlo Ancelotti, Milan coach
PSV were exclusively focused on defence. We totally controlled the game and their goalkeeper was really good. Our goalkeeper, on the other hand, had nothing to do all match. They marked our two main men, but we still had lots of chances. We wasted them, though. We couldn't have been much more dominant - they were just really lucky. I'm still optimistic about the away game because they won't be so focused on defence and we'll have more space.

Guus Hiddink, PSV coach
I'm very happy at the result. We were well organised and we performed really, really well despite all the changes I made. We were in a bit of trouble at the beginning of the match when Milan were passing long, but they were not so dangerous. Compared to last season's semi-final, they had many more chances to score, but our goalkeeper was fantastic. I should compliment all my players because Milan are a great team and it's never easy to play against them.

Filippo Inzaghi, Milan striker
We gave everything we had tonight. We deserved to win but were unlucky and their goalkeeper had a great night. We are disappointed but if we keep on playing like we did tonight, we will surely earn three points in Eindhoven.

Heurelho Gomes, PSV goalkeeper
The team battled to the end. We were able to gain a good result and now we can go back and take three points at home. I'm delighted with my performance. It's always great to leave the San Siro without conceding goals
