Glittering spell
The 33-year-old arrived at Sevilla in 2005 after six years at Valencia CF and will now remain with the Andalusian side until June 2011. Palop has enjoyed a glittering two years with Sevilla, helping the club to two UEFA Cup titles, the UEFA Super Cup, a Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey during his time at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Palop was the hero of Sevilla's UEFA Cup triumph against RCD Espanyol last May, saving three spot-kicks in the penalty shoot-out to ensure his side retained the trophy in Glasgow.
