Togolese forward Emmanuel Adebayor has ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a new long-term contract at Arsenal FC.

Goals
The 24-year-old former FC Metz player, who joined the London club from AS Monaco FC in January 2006, underlined his worth to the Gunners last season by scoring 24 Premier League goals in 36 appearances. Adebayor was also on target last week as Arsenal defeated FC Twente 2-0 in the away leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie. A statement said: "Everyone at Arsenal looks forward to Emmanuel's continued contribution to the club over the coming years."
