Dynamo duo back in contention

FC Dynamo Kyiv will be able to call on Carlos Corrêa and Oleh Gusev for the first time in this season's UEFA Champions League next week after the duo returned from long-term injuries to play for the reserves on Friday.

Fit to play
Ukrainian international midfielder Gusev, 25, turned out for the reserves today having not played since rupturing cruciate knee ligaments in mid-April, while the 27-year-old Brazilian defender Corrêa had been sidelined with a fractured left fibula since May. Both players started for the second-string in a 1-1 draw against FC Karpaty Lviv – who Dynamo's first team meet on Saturday – but were taken off at half-time after proving their fitness. Dynamo take on FC Porto on Wednesday knowing a home win would leave them well placed to reach the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
