Donati, who moved to Glasgow in 2007 following spells at Atalanta BC, AC Milan, Parma FC, Torino Calcio, UC Sampdoria and FC Messina Peloro, has played in four Scottish Premier League games this term and once in Group E, coming on in the 1-1 home draw against Manchester United FC. Celtic have not confirmed how long he will be unavailable for, but he will not travel to Denmark. Manager Gordon Strachan is also waiting to hear whether Paul Hartley (ankle) and Barry Robson (groin) will be fit for Tuesday's game in Aalborg. The Hoops lie third in Group C, needing wins in both of their remaining fixtures to have any chance of reaching the knockout stage.
