Former LOSC Lille coach Vahid Halilhodžić and musician Mat Bastard have been named UEFA EURO 2016 ambassadors for Lille.

Halilhodžić coached LOSC between 1998 and 2002, leading them from the second division to UEFA Champions League football. The ex-Yugoslavia forward, 62, played for FC Nantes and Paris Saint-Germain before retiring in 1987. He has since coached the likes of Stade Rennais FC, Paris, Trabzonspor AŞ, Ivory Coast, Algeria and Japan, where he was appointed earlier this year.

Matthieu-Emmanuel, aka Mat Bastard, is lead singer of rock band Skip the Use. The band started out in 2008 in Ronchin, a suburb of Lille. After the success of their second album Can Be Late, which was named French rock album of the year in 2013, they toured France and returned to Lille for a live performance during tennis's Davis Cup final between France and Switzerland.

The pair join Alain Giresse and Emmanuelle Grizot (Bordeaux), Wendie Renard and Thierry Frémaux (Lyon), Fabien Barthez (Toulouse), Daniel Bravo (Nice) and Jérémie Janot (Saint-Etienne) as UEFA EURO 2016 ambassadors.
