UEFA Europa Conference League final 2022 - 25 May, kick-off 21:00 local time - Arena Kombëtare, Tirana
Opened in 2019, the honour of hosting the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League final goes to Albania’s 21,690-capacity National Arena, known as the Arena Kombëtare. Tirana and Albania are thus honoured to be staging their first major UEFA competition decider.
Tirana was founded in 1614 but was a relatively small city until it was declared the nation's capital in 1920, with Austrian and Italian architects both playing their part in creating the grand look of Skanderbeg Square. More recent innovations have brought colour to the old buildings of the communist era.
Founded in 1920, KF Tirana are the city's oldest and most successful club, with 25 league titles to their name heading into 2021/22, but Dinamo Tirana (18 titles) and Partizani (16 titles) both run them close. Dinamo and Partizani play their home games at the National Arena, along with the Albanian national team.
