FK Sartid captain Goran Bogdanovic has signed a new one-year contract with the Serbo-Montenegrin club.

'Power and drive'
The 36-year-old Bogdanovic, currently the oldest player in the domestic league, said of his decision to remain with the club: "I wanted to finish my career, but our triumph in Cup this season changed everything. When you are successful like that, it is natural to try something new. Practice is not problem for me, I have more power and drive and our new coach, Ratko Dostanic, told me that he needed my experience".

Spanish spell
Born in Smederevo, Bogdanovic began his career with Sartid in 1982 before he went on to win the league title with FK Partizan. The hard-working midfield player, formerly a Yugoslavian international, then tried his luck in Spain with RCD Espanyol, RCD Mallorca and second division side FC Extramadura before returning to his homeland.

'Fresh blood'
Sartid, who won a place in the UEFA Cup qualifying round with a cup final victory over FK Crvena Zvezda, have also confirmed three new signings at the club. Sasa Zoric, a 29-year-old midfield player, has joined from FK Obilic, while striker Dejan Zivkovic and Goran Jovanovic have arrived from FK Partizan and FK Mogren respectively. Sartid director Cedomir Jevtic said: "We just need fresh blood. Our plans is to take our place in the UEFA Cup, to beat [FK] Sarajevo and to build a strong team".
