Drogba feels the pain

Olympique de Marseille travel to Sweden with doubts over the fitness of spearhead Didier Drogba.

'Still feel pain'
The 26-year-old striker bruised his hip in the 1-0 loss to AS Monaco FC eight days ago and has not played since, making him a doubt for Wednesday's showpiece against Valencia CF in Gothenburg. Speaking after a training session yesterday, Drogba said: "I still feel pain every time I strike the ball. If the match was today I could not play."

Anigo hopeful
Marseille coach José Anigo remains hopeful, however, that the Ivorian, who has scored eleven goals in Europe this season, will be fit to take on the Spanish champions. "He might never have another chance to play in such a final," he said. "He must overcome the pain for himself and the club."
