Duo seal Marseille moves

Olympique de Marseille have signed the on-loan duo Demetrius Ferreira and Koke on permanent contracts.

Successful loan stay
The UEFA Cup finalists have taken up their option to sign the Brazilian full-back Ferreira following his successful loan stay at the Stade Vélodrome. The 30-year-old, who joined Marseille on loan from SC Bastia in January, becomes a free agent in the summer when his deal with the Corsican club expires.

Major role
Under coach José Anigo, Ferreira has played a major part in Marseille's excellent run to the final of the UEFA Cup, appearing in all eight of their matches in the competition. The Brazilian arrived in France in January 1999, joining AS Nancy Lorraine from Guarani FC. He moved on to Bastia for the 2000/01 season.

Koke signing
Meanwhile, Koke joins in a €700,000 deal from Málaga CF. The 21-year-old forward has been ineligible for the UEFA Cup but has played eight league matches since arriving on loan in January.
