Ahead of their UEFA Cup campaign, 2. Bundesliga side TSV Alemannia Aachen have signed Scottish striker Chris Iwelumo and Serbo-Montenegrin playmaker Ivan Petrovic.
Aachen impressed
Both players join the German Cup finalists on free transfers and have been handed two-year contracts. The 23-year-old Petrovic, formerly of FK Napredak, impressed Aachen coach Dieter Hecking while on trial while 25-year-old Iwelumo joins from Brighton & Hove Albion.
'Valuable assets'
"Chris is a typical English striker and the kind of player who is not up for grabs very often," said Aachen's sporting director Jörg Schmadtke. "I am sure that both players will be valuable assets to the side."
