Difficult relationship
Cajuda joined Marítimo last summer and guided the islanders into Europe via a seventh-place finish. The coach had a difficult relationship with the club's president, Carlos Pereira, however, and Saturday's 3-0 loss at CF Os Belenenses proved one defeat too far.
Scouting mission
The coach, who was in Glasgow on Sunday to see UEFA Cup opponents Rangers FC lose 1-0 to Celtic FC, previously took charge of SC Braga and UD Leiria.
