Former striking favourite John Robertson has returned to Heart of Midlothian FC as the club's new manager.
Eager to return
The 40-year-old Robertson had been in charge of Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC for the past two seasons, but the lure of returning to a club where he scored 320 goals in 720 games was too much to resist. Inverness gave the former Scotland striker permission to talk to Hearts last night after a compensation package had been agreed between the clubs.
Robertson's first match at the helm will be tomorrow's UEFA Cup tie against FC Schalke 04 at Murrayfield stadium. The Scottish side made a disappointing start to their Group A campaign, losing 3-0 at Feyenoord a fortnight ago. Levein left Hearts to join English team Leicester City FC after a successful four-year tenure in Edinburgh.
