The club, who finished fourth in Greece in the 2004/05 campaign, have captured the 25-year-old left-winger Chiquinho from Avaí FC and the right-sided midfield player William de Matia from Figueirense FC. Xanthi already had three Brazilians in their ranks - midfield player Luciano de Souza and forwards Marcelo Nicásio and Kléber.
