The 31-year-old former Valencia CF and FC Steaua Bucuresti player has signed a one-year contract with the UEFA Cup entrants, subject to a successful medical.

Ilie, capped 55 times by his country, has been without a club since leaving Switzerland's FC Zürich where he scored seven goals in 23 games last season. The striker has also played for Galatasaray SK, Besiktas JK and Deportivo Alavés SAD
