Lacour lengthens Strasbourg stay

Guillaume Lacour's reward for guiding RC Strasbourg into the latter stages of the UEFA Cup is a contract extension that will take him up until June 2009.

Reward for form
The 25-year-old midfielder's existing deal had been due to expire next June, but the club have rewarded him for a consistent season. Despite Strasbourg's struggles in Ligue 1, Lacour, an ever-present, has led the team into the UEFA Cup Round of 32 where they will meet PFC Litex Lovech over two legs in February.
