Michael Thurk has been rewarded for a fine 2005/06 season by earning a "dream" move to hometown club Eintracht Frankfurt from 1. FSV Mainz 05.
Three-year contract
The 30-year-old forward scored a dozen Bundesliga goals in 32 games, enough to gain a three-year contract from UEFA Cup hopefuls Eintracht. Mainz have reportedly received €1.5m for the player. "Coming from Frankfurt, to finally play for Eintracht is a dream come true," said Thurk. Eintracht begin their 2006/07 campaign away to FC Schalke 04 on Saturday, while Mainz welcome VfL Bochum 1848 without the man who struck 18 goals for them in two seasons.
