Spanish Under-21 international Juanfran has signed a four-year contract with CA Osasuna after being released by Real Madrid CF.
Juanfran played on loan at RCD Espanyol last season, helping the Barcelona-based side to the Copa del Rey final although he was on the bench when they beat Real Zaragoza to claim the trophy. The midfielder joins former Madrid team-mate Roberto Soldado at Osasuna, who will be competing in the UEFA Cup after losing to Hamburger SV in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round. A clause stipulates the 21-year-old may be recalled to the Santiago Bernabéu during the first two years of his deal.
