Celta robbed of Gustavo López

Gustavo López will miss RC Celta de Vigo's UEFA Cup opener against Eintracht Frankfurt after tearing a hamstring in a league game on Sunday.

The 33-year-old Argentinian midfielder has been ruled out of action for at least a month having being forced to leave the field just 23 minutes into his side's 3-2 win against Valencia CF. Subsequent tests revealed a small tear to his left hamstring. He will miss Celta's Group H opener at home against Eintracht on 2 November but may return for their second match at Newcastle United FC on 23 November.
