Lobont, who will be 29 later this month, is thought to be moving in a deal worth €750,000, taking him back from Italy to the Romanian capital after an earlier loan spell with FC Dinamo in 2001-02, as well as a stint with city rivals AFC Rapid Bucuresti in 1999. Lobont also played in goal for AFC Ajax before his transfer to Fiorentina.
Comeback bid
Becoming understudy to Sébastien Frey at Fiorentina also cost Lobont his place in the national team with Danut Coman of Rapid Bucuresti claiming his spot. Lobont is thought to be taking a salary cut on returning to his homeland as he bids to regain the number one jersey at club and international level.
