Vaduz strike a deal with Cerrone

Former FC Winterthur, FC Thun and FGC St. Gallen defender Pascal Cerrone has joined Liechtenstein's FC Vaduz as they prepare to take on FC Dinamo Tbilisi in the UEFA Cup.

Favoured position
The 26-year-old is predominantly regarded as a left-back but is also able to play on the left side of midfield. Vaduz, who play their domestic football in the Swiss second division, are Liechtenstein's only representatives in European competition after winning the Liechtenstein Cup. The tiny nation has no formal league structure. Vaduz play the first leg of their UEFA Cup first qualifying round tie in Georgia on Thursday with the return leg scheduled for 2 August at the Rheinpark.
