Club Atlético de Madrid's Raúl García has been suspended for two UEFA competition games after his dismissal against group stage rivals Panathinaikos FC.
Club Atlético de Madrid midfielder Raúl García has been suspended for two club competition matches following his dismissal in the UEFA Cup Group B game against Panathinaikos FC on 20 December.
The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body decided upon the punishment following Raúl García's 81st-minute red card which he received for assaulting an opponent. The suspension means the 21-year-old will miss his team's two UEFA Cup Round of 32 matches against Bolton Wanderers FC, in England on 14 February and in Spain seven days later. The player has lodged an appeal against the decision.
