Signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers FC in the summer of 2006, the 25-year-old has scored eight goals – including six this season – in 67 Premier League games for Everton. His impressive form at both left-back and in central defence earning him four England caps. Moyes added: "This continues our policy of securing – on long-term deals – those players who not only represent Everton's present but also its future. Since joining us Joleon has more than proved his worth and the fact he is not only happy at Goodison Park but also willing to commit his future to Everton shows that we are most definitely moving in the right direction." The Merseyside club host ACF Fiorentina in the concluding leg of their Round of 16 tie tonight, trailing 2-0.
