Getafe CF defender Cosmin Contra has rounded off a memorable week by agreeing a new one-year contract with the Spanish club.
'Very happy here'
The 32-year-old Romanian international right-back scored a last-minute equaliser at FC Bayern München in Thursday's UEFA Cup quarter-final first leg to earn Getafe a 1-1 draw ahead of next week's return fixture, and has now agreed with president Ángel Torres to remain with the club for a fourth season. "I'm very happy to have agreed to stay next year with the president," Contra said. "I'm very content here and the president has always backed me so I have renewed my contract for another season."
