'Very happy'
The Danish international, who turned 34 today, has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Enschede club who will play Stade Rennais FC in the first round of the UEFA Cup. Twente coach Steve McClaren said: "I am very happy that a player like Kenneth Perez has chosen to play for FC Twente. He has proven to have important qualities – a player with attacking intentions who can score a goal. He has a lot of experience which our young team can use well."
Eredivisie experience
The former FC København and MVV Maastricht player – who has won 24 caps and scored two goals for Denmark – joined Ajax in 2006 after six full seasons at AZ Alkmaar. He went on to register 19 goals in 43 top-flight games for the Amsterdam club either side of a six-month spell with PSV Eindhoven last season.
