AC Milan striker Marco Borriello will miss Thursday's UEFA Cup first round second leg at FC Zürich after being ruled out for around ten days with the left thigh injury he sustained against Reggina Calcio on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old striker scored the Rossoneri's final goal in their 3-1 home success against Zürich, following it up with another against Reggina before pulling up on 57 minutes as Milan went on to win 2-1. "It's not a serious injury and I think he'll be back playing after the break for international games," said club doctor Massimo Manara. Alessandro Nesta, Andrea Pirlo, Filippo Inzaghi and Philippe Senderos are also absent through injury.
