The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has been an important part of Manuel Jiménez's plans this season having made eight Liga appearances for the side that occupy fifth spot in the Spanish table. Duscher is now facing a three week lay-off meaning he is a definite non-starter for Thursday's UEFA Cup Group C trip to R. Standard de Liège. Fortunately for Sevilla, the previously injured trio of Frédéric Kanouté (calf), Diego Capel (thigh) and Aquivaldo Mosquera (ankle) are all back in training. On the other hand, Lautaro Acosta (ankle ligaments), Ernesto Chevantón (knee) and Ivica Dragutinović (thigh) are still recovering from their respective problems.
