NK Dinamo Zagreb have parted company with coach Branko Ivanković by mutual consent and installed his assistant Marijan Vlak.

Quitting while ahead
It is the second time in a year that Ivanković has left the capital club, having resigned in January with his side 12 points clear following criticism from the club's executive vice-president Zdravko Mamić. The 54-year-old, who returned in May, again departs with Dinamo top of the table, albeit only a point ahead of HNK Hajduk Split with 16 rounds played.

Winning start
The 53-year-old Vlak will hope to get his third tenure at the helm off to a winning start as Dinamo take on FC Spartak Moskva at home in the UEFA Cup on Thursday. The Croatian side have three points from two outings in Group D, after following up an opening victory against NEC Nijmegen with a 4-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur FC.
