Olympique de Marseille defender Vitorino Hilton could miss the first leg of his side's UEFA Cup Round of 16 tie against AFC Ajax after tearing an abdominal muscle in Thursday's win at FC Twente.

Contrast
Marseille prevailed 7-6 on penalties in Enschede after they overturned a 1-0 deficit from last week's opening leg thanks to Hatem Ben Arfa's first-half free-kick. However, shortly after that goal, coach Erik Gerets was forced to make a change as Hilton departed due to injury. The club have now confirmed that the 31-year-old Brazilian, who joined Les Minots from RC Lens last summer, would need "12 to 15 days" of rest, leaving him doubtful for the visit of Ajax on 12 March.
