Elvir Rahimić has been ruled out of the second leg of PFC CSKA Moskva's UEFA Cup Round of 16 tie with FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 19 March because of a thigh injury sustained during the first encounter between the teams on Thursday.
Three-week absence
The 32-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovnian international was replaced at half-time by Pavel Mamaev during the Army Men's 1-0 defeat of their Ukrainian opponents in the Russian capital and, following medical examinations the next day, is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks. Rahimić, who has played over 200 Premier-Liga matches since joining the capital club in 2001, will also miss CSKA's opening two league fixtures against FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast on 15 March and FC Tom Tomsk a week later.
