HSV seal Zé Roberto signature

Hamburger SV have signed midfielder Zé Roberto from FC Bayern München on a free transfer, the 34-year-old former Brazilian international penning a two-year deal with the Hanseatic outfit.

Hamburger SV have signed midfielder Zé Roberto from FC Bayern München on a free transfer.

'Delighted'
The 34-year-old Brazilian put pen to paper on a two-year contract on Thursday evening and new HSV coach Bruno Labbadia said: "We're delighted that Zé Roberto decided to joins us. He is extremely gifted technically and has plenty of top-level experience. Zé has shown his class at both domestic and European level over the past few years."

Great experience
Zé Roberto has spent the majority of his 15-year career in Germany with four seasons at Bayer 04 Leverkusen and two spells at Bayern, amassing 282 Bundesliga appearances while scoring 31 goals. During his time at Bayern, the former Real Madrid CF man won four Bundesliga titles, as well as four German Cups. Zé Roberto has also been capped 84 times by Brazil scoring six goals, and joins an HSV side preparing to start their UEFA Europa League campaign in the third qualifying round.
