Sporting set to secure Angulo

Former Valencia CF forward Miguel Ángel Angulo is set to join UEFA Europa League hopefuls Sporting Clube de Portugal as they prepare to commence their Group D campaign.

Former Valencia CF forward Miguel Ángel Angulo is set to join UEFA Europa League hopefuls Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Winners' medals
A statement on Sporting's official website stated: "The player will arrive on Sunday for medical examinations with the goal of a transfer to the club." In 14 years with Valencia, the 32-year-old won two Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup before being released. Sporting are in UEFA Europa League Group D alongside SC Heerenveen, Hertha BSC Berlin and FK Ventspils.
