Cebanu, 23, spent two-and-a-half years at Wisla but played only six league matches for the Polish side. "I'm very glad to sign a contract with the Russia champions," he told uefa.com. "Now I need to work hard to justify the trust they have placed in me." The son of Moldovan Football Association president Pavel Cebanu, he started his career in the youth teams at FC Zimbru Chişinău before moving to Austria at the age of 16 and amassing experience at FC Kärnten, FC St. Veit, SK Sturm Graz and SV Kapfenberg. In 2007, he signed for Wisla, who won the Polish title in 2008 and 2009, and has contested 18 matches for Moldova's Under-21 side. Rubin will face Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, with their first meeting due in Kazan on 18 February.
