Juventus have signed Italian international midfielder Antonio Candreva on loan from Udinese Calcio, with a view to making the switch permanent in June for €7.5m.
Rapid rise
"This is a dream come true," said Candreva after the announcement that sealed his rise from Italy's third tier to the upper echelons of Serie A in little over two and half years. Rome-born Candreva started out at lowly Ternana Calcio and has been on Udinese's books since 2007, but it is with AS Livorno Calcio that he has made his name. The 22-year-old spent last season on loan as the Amaranto secured a return to Serie A, and has made the step-up look easy this term, missing just one game. That form earned Candreva a senior international debut in November against the Netherlands.
