The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has rejected a protest by Spanish club Sevilla FC in relation to the UEFA Europa League Group J match against French opponents Paris Saint-Germain FC in Seville on 16 September.

The result of the match – a 1-0 win for Paris Saint-Germain – is therefore confirmed. The protest concerned the eligibility of the PSG goalkeeper Apoula Édel.

Meanwhile, the Control and Disciplinary Body has admitted a protest by The Football Association relating to England's 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup final tournament play-off game against Switzerland in Wohlen, also on 16 September.

As a result, the disciplinary consequences of England goalkeeper Rachel Brown's dismissal during the match are cancelled. Brown is therefore eligible to play in England's next competitive fixture. England won the game 3-2 to qualify for the Women's World Cup on a 5-2 aggregate scoreline.
