Winger Marco Padalino will sit out UC Sampdoria's remaining two games in UEFA Europa League Group I after twisting his left ankle during the Serie A game against AC Chievo Verona on Sunday.
The 26-year-old Swiss international will be out of action for around six weeks, ruling him out of the matches at home to PSV Eindhoven on 1 December and away to Debreceni VSC 15 days later. The midfielder has appeared just once in both Serie A and Europe under new coach Domenico Di Carlo this season. The Blucerchiati are third in their UEFA Europa League section, five points behind leaders PSV and two short of FC Metalist Kharkiv.
