Lille missing Rami for PSV opener

LOSC Lille Métropole's French international centre-back Adil Rami will miss the round of 32 first-leg visit of PSV Eindhoven on Thursday due to an ankle sprain suffered at the weekend.

LOSC Lille Métropole defender Adil Rami will miss the UEFA Europa League round of 32 first-leg visit of PSV Eindhoven on Thursday due to an ankle injury.

The seven-times capped France centre-back sprained an ankle during the Ligue 1 leaders' 2-0 home win against Toulouse FC on Sunday. "I am not sure I can even play next weekend," the 25-year-old said after the game, with the club adding that "further scans will be carried out to assess how long he will be unavailable". Rami, who last month agreed a summer move to Valencia CF, has featured in all 23 of his side's league matches this season.
