FC Dynamo Kyiv's Brazilian forward Guilherme has left the UEFA Europa League quarter-finalists and returned home to join Clube Atlético Mineiro in a €6m transfer.

Guilherme moves on after failing to settle in the Ukrainian capital during a two-year spell in which he made little more than a dozen Premier-Liha appearances and spent nearly 12 months on loan at Russian club PFC CSKA Moskva.

Dynamo coach Yuri Semin said of the 22-year-old former Cruzeiro EC striker's departure: "It's absolutely the right decision to sell Guilherme. There's no sense keeping a player with problems. We'll look for a new player to fill Guilherme's position."

Dynamo, second in the Premier League, eliminated Manchester City FC in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 and will face SC Braga in the quarter-finals. The home leg of that tie is scheduled for 7 April, with the decider in Portugal the following Thursday.
