Argentinian international midfielder Fabián Rinaudo has become Sporting Clube de Portugal's eighth signing of the summer, with the 24-year-old agreeing a four-year contract in Lisbon.
The three-times capped Rinaudo has been captured from Club Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata for an undisclosed fee, and said: "I have great expectations. I want to win and help the club to achieve their goals. I'm a defensive midfielder, very physical and dynamic."
Domingos Paciência's Sporting begin pre-season training today, with Rinaudo teaming up with fellow newcomers Marcelo Boeck, Oguchi Onyewu, Santiago Árias, Stijn Schaars, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Alberto Rodríguez and André Carrillo. Third in the Liga last term, Sporting kick off their UEFA Europa League campaign in the play-off round on 18 and 25 August.
