Fenerbahçe SK have completed the signings of former players Emre Belözoğlu and Reto Ziegler.

Turkish international midfielder Emre arrives from Fenerbahçe's fellow UEFA Europa League round of 32 contenders Club Atlético de Madrid on a free transfer. Left-back Reto Ziegler, meanwhile, rejoins the Istanbul outfit on loan from Juventus until the end of the season.

Emre, 32, made over 100 Super League appearances for Fenerbahçe between 2008 and 2012, having previously represented city rivals Galatasaray AŞ, where he won the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 2000. The ex-FC Internazionale Milano and Newcastle United FC man was part of Fenerbahçe's 2010/11 league-winning team and also lifted the Turkish Cup last season before joining Atlético. Restricted to just seven Liga games in Madrid, he is now back in Istanbul.

"I know the Fenerbahçe fans love me and this is mutual," he said. "I am making a new start and, God willing, I want to retire from football wearing the Fenerbahçe shirt."

Ziegler, 27, impressed on loan at Fenerbahçe last term but was forced to leave in the summer after the club failed to reach an agreement with Juventus over a permanent move. The Swiss international spent the first half of this campaign on loan at FC Lokomotiv Moskva.
