Betis bolster ranks with Cedric signing

Having reached an agreement to finalise his contract with CD Numancia, 21-year-old winger Cedric expressed his delight at signing for Liga outfit Real Betis Balompié.

UEFA Europa League contenders Real Betis Balompié have signed 21-year-old winger Cedric.

Cedric arrives from CD Numancia on a four-year deal. "I am happy that a club like Betis came calling," he said. "This move represents an important step in my career. This club had a good campaign last season and I am now looking forward to the possibility of playing in the UEFA Europa League."

A product of Club Atlético de Madrid's youth set-up, Cedric joined Spanish second-tier side Numancia in 2010. His new employers will start their 2013/14 UEFA Europa League campaign in the play-offs.
