Swansea City AFC have signed former Liverpool FC striker David Ngog for an undisclosed fee.
Ngog joins the Premier League outfit from Bolton Wanderers FC, where he has been since leaving Anfield in summer 2011. The 24-year-old, a graduate of Paris Saint-Germain's youth academy, gives Michael Laudrup further attacking options in the continued absence of the injured Michu.
Ngog made 18 league appearances for Paris at the start of his career, before joining Liverpool in 2008. He went on to score nine goals in 63 top-flight games for the Reds and then moved to Bolton for nearly €5m. He has represented France at Under-16 and U21 levels.
Swansea face SSC Napoli – coached by Rafael Benítez, the man who brought Ngog to Liverpool – in the UEFA Europa League round of 32. The first leg is in south-west Wales on 20 February, with the return scheduled for the following Thursday.
