4th: Louis Schaub (Rapid Wien)
The central midfielder moved up four spots after getting another goal in his team's 3-0 win against Mattersburg on Sunday, a game in which he completed 18 of his 33 passes in the final third and had four dribbles. His place in the rankings has been boosted by four goals in UEFA Europa League qualifying.
5th: Gregoire Defrel (Sassuolo)
The striker's goal against Genoa was his fifth in his last six games, and he also earned the penalty which broke the deadlock for his side. His constant running – he had seven dribbles – caused mayhem in the Genoa defence and helped elevate him 11 places in the Performance Zone rankings.
12th: Marcus Berg (Panathinaikos)
After scoring against Ajax on matchday one, the Swedish international struck twice and provided an assist for Robin Lod in the Greens' 4-0 Greek Super League victory over PAS Giannina at the weekend, surging 22 places up the rankings in the process.
19th: Beñat Etxebarria (Athletic Club)
The midfielder set up both of Aritz Aduriz's goals in Athletic's comeback win against Valencia on Sunday, and his all-round performance was top class as he created four chances and provided 14 crosses. With four interceptions and two tackles won, he rose 51 places to 19th.
20th: Andrea Consigli (Sassuolo)
The goalkeeper's 32-place rise owed much to clean sheets in back-to-back triumphs over Athletic (3-0) and Genoa (2-0). He made five saves and three successful aerial claims in the latter match.
21st: Charlie Austin (Southampton)
On the bench despite his double on Thursday, Austin responded against Swansea, coming on to score the only goal of the game and help the Saints to their first league win of the season. His reward: a 26-place rise in the Performance Zone.
